Ladies

When deciding what to wear for headshots, opting for a business suit paired with a contrasting colored blouse or top is a classic choice that always looks great. For the most flattering photos, stick to long sleeves and solid colours. When it comes to jewelry, keep it elegant and understated.

For more casual looks, bring along a variety of colours, but steer clear of busy patterns, unless that’s a distinctive part of your brand! We suggest bringing 3-4 outfits for your session to give you plenty of options. Don’t worry, Andrew will guide you on the day and recommend what will photograph best.

If you’re opting for a Personal Branding session, you’ll need to bring even more outfits to ensure we capture your unique style from every angle!

A well-placed prop, such as a laptop, journal or notepad can add a touch of realism to your photos, so consider including these when packing for your session.

Gentlemen

For a classic contemporary business look, opt for a black, navy, or charcoal suit and, optionally, bring your favourite tie and cufflinks for a more formal presentation.

Pair your suit with a plain solid coloured shirt featuring protruding cuffs for a professionally groomed touch.

*Although white shirts are a business uniform, they generally don’t photograph well and can often leach the colour out of your face in photos. Best consider a light blue, pink or other solid colour.

If you’re aiming for a more contemporary or casual vibe, consider bringing along a variety of jackets paired with plain, contrasting-coloured shirts or tops. Pair these with jeans or chinos for a stylish yet relaxed look.

Well-placed props, such as your laptop, journal or notepad can add a touch of realism to your photos, so consider including these when deciding what to wear for headshots and packing for your session.
