Adrian Stewart, host of the popular true crime podcast and YouTube channel Coffeehouse Crime (2.2 million subscribers), required a set of high-impact personal branding images.
Personal Branding Challenge
The goal was to create images that reflected Adrian’s personal brand: authoritative, engaging, and visually dynamic, while being versatile enough to work across social media, press, and television. The imagery needed to stand out in a competitive media landscape while capturing his personality authentically.
Collaboration & Creative Process
I liaised closely with Adrian to understand his vision and tone. Together we designed wardrobe and selected accessories to create dynamic, brand-aligned images. The session was collaborative and enjoyable, experimenting with lighting, composition, and poses to deliver authentic, impactful shots.
Photography & Post-Production
Post-production combined modern digital techniques with classic pre-digital darkroom-inspired methods to produce a subtle “grunge” style in select images. Careful attention to colour, contrast, and texture ensured the images translated effectively across both digital and print media.
Outcome
The resulting images exceeded expectations, delivering versatile, professional, and visually striking content for social media campaigns, and television features. Adrian’s feedback:
This project exemplifies the kind of Personal Branding assignments I love: highly collaborative, creative, and focused on producing results that elevate the client’s professional profile.
